How Long Since Luton Town Last Won A Trophy?

Luton Town FC

Luton Town were Champions of League One (third-tier) in 2019, they also won the Football League Trophy in 2009 (3/4 tier teams).

But their biggest ‘real’ trophy was back in 1988, when they beat strong favourites Arsenal in the (Littlewoods) League Cup Final at a packed Wembley.

After taking an early lead, Luton finally succumbed to Arsenal dominance to trail 2-1. Then Nigel Winterburn missed a penalty and the game turned in favour of Luton, who went on to score two late goals to win 3-2.
